PNGRB mandates approval for LNG terminals

As per a draft regulation by the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB), companies are required to obtain approval before establishing new LNG terminals or expanding existing ones. PNGRB aims to manage the rapid expansion of the terminals, which are currently facing significant underutilisation. The draft regulation, currently open for public consultation, mandates that all existing and future LNG terminals must register with the regulator.
