Northern Railway has commissioned the Rajpura-Bhatinda line doubling project.
The project involved doubling of 172.64 km at an investment of Rs 14.65 billion. It will ease traffic bottlenecks and bring more revenue to Indian Railways by capacity enhancement of the route. It will benefit the districts of Patiala, Sangrur, Barnala and Bhatinda.
