Extension of corridor VI of the Kolkata metro expansion project by 4.34 km till Beleghata station has been approved. Besides, 90 per cent of the civil works have been completed on the IT Hub – City Centre II stretch of corridor VI.
The project involves the expansion of the existing metro rail network in Kolkata in West Bengal by 88.55 km with an investment of Rs 193.94 billion.
