NHAI establishes DPR cell to enhance national highway project quality

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has established a dedicated cell to review detailed project reports (DPRs) for national highway projects. The cell aims to ensure the highest construction standards, cost-effectiveness, and timely project completion. This initiative will standardise the DPR review process and guarantee quality assessments before project implementation.

The cell comprises a team of approximately 40 professionals, including Principal DPR experts and domain specialists in road safety, traffic, land acquisition, bridges, tunnels, geotechnical areas, senior highway development, and forestry. This expert team will provide comprehensive inputs and facilitate end-to-end monitoring of the DPRs for national highway projects, ensuring robust and uniform project preparation and review mechanisms.
