Karaikal Port has recently advised revision of the new maximum permissible draft for the channel and berths 1, 2, 3 and 4 for the period between July 1, 2024 and July 31, 2024.
For berth 1, the maximum permissible draft for vessel up to 235 metres with beam 32.26 metres will be 13.5 metres and for vessel up to 292 metres with beam 45.00 metres will be 12.5 metres.
For channel, berths 2, 3 and 4, the maximum permissible draft for vessel up to 235 metres with beam 32.26 metres will be 13.5 metres and maximum permissible draft for vessel up to 292 metres with beam 45.00 metres will be 13.5 metres.
Other parameters for the draft remain the same.
