The government of Telangana plans to lay the foundation for the Regional Ring Road (RRR) in Hyderabad in October 2024, with expansion works on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway set to begin in December 2024. The target is to complete the ring road within three years.
Additionally, the government aims to provide Rs 56 billion for the Hyderabad-Vijayawada and Hyderabad-Bengaluru greenfield roads. Noting the prolonged pending status of the Uppal, Kompally, and Amberpet flyovers, officials have been directed to complete the Amberpet flyover within the next three months.
