Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) is diverting the sewage inflow at the site of the K-100 waterway project in Bengaluru. The project is facing issues due to sewage inflow at three locations namely, Mission Road, Lalbagh Road, and a lane near Dharmaraya Swamy temple in the Nagarthpet area. BWSSB has started work on the Mission Road by diverting sewage with laying of a separate pipeline. It will begin work at Lalbagh Road in a few days and subsequently at Nagarthpet. This work at all three locations is likely to continue for another 35 to 40 days.
The project is aimed at beautifying a 10-km stormwater drain from KR Market to Bellandur Lake. The civil and landscaping works along the stretch have almost been completed.
