NHAI to commence work on Chattergala tunnel project in Jammu and Kashmir

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is set to begin work on the Chattergala tunnel in Jammu and Kashmir. The project, costing approximately Rs 40 billion, will include underpasses on the Kathua express corridor section. Initiated around six years ago, the proposal for the tunnel faced delays due to funding issues despite the detailed project report prepared by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO).
