Haldia Dock Complex (HDC) of Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata (SMPK) has recently inaugurated direct weekly express service linking Port Klang in Malaysia and Port Yangon in Myanmar.
With this first-of-its-kind service, the vessel SITC Nagoya berthed at the Haldia International Container Terminal on June 6, 2024. Meanwhile, the second vessel, SITC Tianjin, is scheduled to call at HDC from China in the coming days.
The port rotation of this weekly service is Port Klang-HDC-Yangon Port-Port Klang/Shanghai, creating a seamless connection between the far east ports, including China and Japan, and SMPK.
