The Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) conducted a safety inspection on the 21.4-km long Barpeta road-Pathsala section under the new Bongaigaon-Agthori rail line doubling project.
The project being implemented by Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR), involves construction of 142.97 km long rail line between new Bongaigaon and Agthori via Rangiya will traverse through Bongaigaon, Baksa, Barpeta, Nalbari and Kamrup districts in Assam at an estimated cost of Rs 27.05 billion.
