A Unified Payments Interface (UPI) payment-based ticketing system has been introduced in all automatic smart card recharge machines (ASCRM) at every station along the North-South corridor. This ticketing system has already been implemented at the Howrah Maidan-Esplanade and Sector V-Sealdah corridors of the East-West Metro corridor.
Now, all ASCRM machines on the Dakshineswar-New Garia stretch (Blue line) offer this facility, making it easier for commuters to purchase tokens or recharge their smart cards seamlessly.
