The terminal 1 of the Jaipur International Airport is likely to start functioning from October 2024.
Facilities at the terminal include new X-ray machines, baggage handling systems, and conveyor belts. Also, a car parking has been developed outside the terminal with a capacity of more than 200 cars. Under the first phase, international and non-scheduled flights are to be operated from the terminal. The building would also have eight counters for the customs department, 10 for immigration at the departure area, 10 check-in counters, and two boarding gates on the ground floor.
The terminal was earlier shut in 2012, post which the Airports Authority of India (AAI) had been carrying out renovation works over the years.
