Initially scheduled to open in May 2024, the Mumbai coastal road will now be opened in October 2024. The project worth Rs 139.84 billion began in December 2018. Currently, around 89.2 per cent of the project is complete, including 88 per cent of road works and 91 per cent of interchanger works.
The delay in construction from November 2023 to March 2024 was due to changes in the navigation span between piers 7 and 8, increasing it to 120 m from the previously proposed 56 m.
