APSEZ to invest Rs 15 billion in renewable energy during FY 2024-25

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) is likely to invest Rs 15 billion in renewable energy during FY 2024-25. This amount will be used mostly for captive purpose at Khavda in Kutch, Gujarat and surplus power generated will be sold. It is planning to set up wind and solar power capacity of 1,000 megawatt (MW) over the next few years. According to sources, it will set up 250 MW in the first quarter of FY 2025 and the rest will be set up gradually.

Overall, the company has planned a capex of Rs 115 billion in FY 2024-25, and is planning to spend Rs 73 billon on ports, Rs 15 billion in energy and about Rs 23 billion in logistics.
