Jupiter Wagons is planning to invest Rs 15 billion for the upgradation of its wagon production and wheel plants by 2026. The focus is to increase the capacity of wheel production. It will invest a total of Rs 12 billion in this wheel project.
Presently, the firm has an annual wheel manufacturing capacity of 20,000 wheels, which is expected to scale up to 100,000 wheels by 2026. Furthermore, it is also aiming to increase the annual wagon production from 8,000 to 10,000 in 2024-25, with a further extension to 12,000 to 15,000 wagons by 2025-26.
