Indian Railways (IR) is expected to launch 10 Vande Bharat Metro trains in Kerala. The average speed of these trains will be around 100 to 130 km per hour (kmph).
The routes for these train include Ernakulam-Kozhikode, Ernakulam-Coimbatore, Thiruvananthapuram-Ernakulam, Kottayam-Palakkad, Kozhikode-Palakkad, Kozhikode-Mangalore, Kollam-Tirunelveli, Kollam-Thrissur, Madurai-Guruvayur and Nilambur-Mettupalayam.
