Southern Railway (SR) has achieved a physical progress of about 25 per cent on the redevelopment of Kollam railway station project. The project is expected to be completed by December 2025.
The project involves major upgradation of Kollam railway station in Kerala. It involves various passenger-friendly amenities and facilities including escalators, six lifts, multi-level car parking, pickup-dropoff facilities and two foot over bridges (FoBs). The estimated cost for the project is Rs 3.61 billion.
