GPS Renewables has announced a partnership with Dubai-based SAF One to build a facility in India for the annual production of 20 to 30 million litres of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
Lignocellulosic waste feedstock is to be used for the production of the fuel. The initiative is in line with India’s strategy for the introduction of mandatory SAF blending in aviation fuel, commencing with a 1-5 per cent blend in 2027.
