Advanced hydrant facilities have been inaugurated by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) at the new Manohar International Airport in north Goa.
The hydrant fuel farm spans an area of six acres and has an 8,270 KL storage capacity. It comprises of an intricate network of underground pipes that connect to the 13 aircraft parking bays at the airport. A fully automated console is used for the operation of the hydrant system.
With this facility at Manohar airport, the number of BPCL operated facilities has increased to 75 airports in India.
