Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has achieved a track renewal of 257.98 km during the fiscal year 2023-24.
Additionally, 210.71 total kilometer (tkm) of sleeper renewal and 264.16 units of Complete Track Renewal (CTR) works have been completed, resulting in safer train operations with increased speeds and a better riding experience.
Furthermore, by March 2024, the maximum speed limit of 118.20 km of loop lines was raised to 30 kmph and the sectional speed of 803.5 km was increased to 110 kmph, marking a progress of 42 per cent in sectional speed.
