Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) is planning to introduce the light tram system in Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode, marking a shift in Kerala’s urban transportation strategy towards sustainability and cost-effectiveness.
Urban Mass Transit Company Limited (UMTC) will conduct a feasibility study on the proposed routes in both cities. Earlier, the project involved development of metro network in Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode.
