AMC to resurface 3.5 km of road in 24 hours, setting new record

The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) is poised to set a new record by resurfacing 3.5 km of road within 24 hours across three areas of the city. This ambitious project will utilise 7,000 tonnes of material and involve extensive machinery and manpower. Previously, AMC set a record by constructing the Tarapur-Bagodara Highway using 5,000 tonnes of raw material in a single day.

The current initiative aims to expedite road resurfacing divided into three stretches of 1-1.5 km each to be resurfaced within 24 hours on an experimental basis. The identified stretches include a 1.2 km road from Aryaman Bungalows to Hebatpur village in the north-west zone, a 1 km stretch from Arrows Foot to Florence at-9 in the south- west zone, and a 1.6 km road from Narol turning to Sadani Dhabi in the south zone. RKC Infrabuilt is the contractor responsible for the project.
