East Coast Railway (ECoR) has completed construction work on the 152.8 km long section of the Khurda road-Bolangir new line project. This includes an approximately 105.8 km long section from Khurda road to Dasapalla and 47 km long section from Bolangir to Sonepur.
The project involves construction of 289 km long broad gauge railway line from Khurda road to Bolangir under Khurda division of ECoR, aiming at connecting western Odisha with eastern Odisha at an estimated cost of Rs 37.91 billion.
