The construction work on Avinashi Road flyover in Coimbatore has been completed by 70 per cent, with the remaining work scheduled for completion by the end of December 2024.
Initiated to alleviate traffic congestion along the Avinashi Road corridor, the project spans 10.10 km from VOC Park to Goldwins, amounting to a total cost of Rs 16.21 billion.
The national highway department has conducted construction vibration tests and structural stability assessments to ensure quality standards. Progress is evident at seven of the eight up and down ramps, indicating significant advancement towards project completion on time.
