Upline track work has been completed on the underground stretch from Nayaganj to Chunniganj station under corridor-1 (Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) to Naubasta) of the Kanpur Metro Rail project.
The project is expected to be completed by 2026. The Kanpur Metro project involves development of 33 km long metro rail system in Uttar Pradesh at an investment of Rs 110.76 billion.
