Commercial operations at the Amravati airport in Maharashtra are likely to commence from July-August 2024. The initial flights are expected to operate to Mumbai.
The Maharashtra Airport Development Company (MADC) would also try for air connectivity between Amravati and Ahmedabad, aiming to provide connectivity between the two textile centres of the country.
The airport and its infrastructure have been completed, comprising of a runway spanning 1.8 km. The MADC is currently in the final stages of getting approvals for the commencement of flight operations.
