Noida Metro Rail Corporation to accelerate work on Greater Noida-West Metro extension and Sector 142 to Botanical Garden corridor 

The Noida Metro Rail Corporation plans to accelerate progress on the extension of the Greater Noida West Metro and Sector 142 to the Botanical Garden Metro Corridor once the model code of conduct is lifted. Both projects are pending cabinet approval.

The Greater Noida West Metro extension will be 2km longer, making the total length approximately 17km, with 7km in Noida and 10km in the Greater Noida area. Of the 11 stations planned, four will be situated in Noida and seven in Greater Noida. The estimated cost of the project is 29.9 billion.

Another project from Botanical Garden to Sector 142 metro station is also awaiting approval from the government of Uttar Pradesh. This route will encompass eight stations, including Botanical Garden, Sector 44, Noida Authority office in Sector 96, Sector 97, Sector 105, Sector 108, Sector 93, and Panchsheel Balak Inter College Sector 91. The project covers a distance of 11.56km and requires a total investment of Rs 22.54 billion.
