Northeast is likely to achieve 61 per cent of electrification of railway lines by December 2024. With this, electrification work till South Tripura’s Sabroom is expected to be completed by August 2024 as electrification till Agartala has already been achieved. All state capitals of Northeast will be linked to railways by 2026 as work on 21 projects has commenced with an investment of Rs 2.62 billion
