The Koramangala Valley Rejuvenation Project in Karnataka is likely to be inaugurated on August 15, 2024. However, the operations are likely to commence from June 2024.
Currently, the sewage treatment plant at Krishna Rajendra (KR) market has been completed and the remaining works are 85 per cent complete. Along with the planned infrastructure, a sewer line between Hosur Road and Neelasandra Junction and a 15 million liters per day intermediary wastewater pumping station are also being constructed under the project.
The project is being implemented by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike involves the development and rejuvenation of the Kormangala valley from KR market to Bellandur lake on a design, build, operate and transfer basis under public-private partnership mode at an estimated cost of Rs 1,790 million.
