The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) released the Climate Strategy 2030 document with a target to address India’s need for green financing. The document is framed on four key pillars including accelerating green lending across sectors, playing a broader market-making role, internal green transformation, and strategic resource mobilisation. As a part of sustainable development initiatives, many real-estate developers pledged to adopt various water efficiency measures. Some of the key measures include zero-discharge water systems, recycling of treated wastewater to support horticulture and lake replenishment while reducing dependence on groundwater by DLF and use of low-flow water faucets and toilet fixtures, rainwater collecting systems, wastewater treatment and reuse facilities by Signature Global (India) Limited.
