Indian Railways (IR) has commenced the manufacturing of indigenous bullet train which is being developed on Vande Bharat platform. The Integral Coach Factory (ICF) at Chennai is creating the train’s design.
The train will operate on north, south and east corridors with an overall speed of 250 km per hour (kmph) and the ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 52 seconds.
