India is expected to maintain the current road construction momentum, adding up to 13,000 km in 2024-25, an annual increase of 5-8 per cent. The pace of execution in the year will be supported by a healthy pipeline of projects at above 45,000 km as of March 2024, increased capital outlay by the Central government, and focus on project execution by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH).
