National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has submitted the detailed project report (DPR) for the Ghaziabad-Jewar Airport Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) Project. As per the DPR, 11 RRTS stations and 11 local module metro stations have been proposed. It is likely to be implemented in two phases: Phase I will involve 39.39 km stretch from Ghaziabad to Kasna (Ecotech VI) with seven RRTS stations and 11 local metro module stations with a provision to add three more stations in future at an estimated cost of Rs 130.55 billion. The entire phase will be elevated. Phase II will involve 32.9 km stretch from Kasna (Ecotech VI) to Jewar (Noida) Airport with four RRTS stations with a provision to add 10 more stations in future at an estimated cost of Rs 69.88 billion. The proposed alignment will pass through Dankaur, Dhanauri, Kanarsi, Bhatta, Parsaul, Rabupura, Dayanatpur and Kishorpur and subsume the proposed Noida Sector 21-Noida Airport personal rapid transit (PRT)/light rail transit (LRT) corridor.
