IL&FS has announced plans to sell its entire 26 per cent equity stake in Noida Toll Bridge Company Limited (NTBCL), which owns and operates the DND flyover connecting Delhi to Noida. The decision to monetise this flyover, constructed in 2001, comes as part of IL&FS’s strategy to reduce debt. IL&FS holds a 26 per cent stake in NTBCL, with the Uttar Pradesh government holding 5 per cent and the remaining shares owned by the public. The Board has initiated a public process to divest its share in the project and will soon invite bids for the same.
