The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) is planning for a dedicated pipeline to supply treated water to the industries in the city. This is to reduce the dependency on water from the Cauvery river and borewells.
BWSSB generates around 1,480 mld of sewage every day, of which, 1,212 mld is treated. This initiative may start first in Peenya Industrial Area which houses over 15,000 industries.
