Railway Board (RB) is planning to launch longer Vande Bharat train service during 2024-25. For this purpose, the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) will be manufacturing 15 Vande Bharat trains with 20 coaches in each train. This also involves the manufacturing of 10 rakes with 16 coaches and nine rakes with eight coaches. Besides, during 2023-24, ICF manufactured a total of 2,829 coaches as against 2,702 coaches in last year. This includes 1,091 Distributed Power Rolling Stock (DPRS) coaches along with 1,738 Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB).
