The New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) has approved the Kushak drain rejuvenation project in Delhi. The scope of the project includes the construction of decentralised wastewater treatment plants with a capacity of 5 million litres per day (mld) at Lutyens Delhi and two 2.5 mld water treatment plants at the last end of stretch and four sequential continuous flow-reactor between the stretch of the 6.5 km long drawing running from SP Marg to Kamal Ataturk Marg at an estimated cost of Rs 1.7 billion.
