Modern Coach Factory (MCF) at Rae Bareli registered a total production of 1,684 coaches during 2023-24 which is 15 per cent higher than last year. It manufactured 953 Air Conditioned (AC) coaches and 731 non-AC coaches which includes 8 Mainline Electric Multiple Unit (MEMU) coaches, 240 AC – 3 coaches, 202 AC-2 coaches, 58 Tejas coaches, 341 sleeper coaches, 332 Deendayalu coaches among others. It also manufactured a three phase MEMU for North Eastern Railway (NER) with maximum speed of 110 km per hour (kmph) along with 11 coaches for Mozambique Railways.
