DPR submitted for revised route under Ahmedabad Metro Phase II

Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) has submitted detailed project report (DPR) to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) for revised route to connect Ahmedabad Airport with Motera-Koteshwar corridor under the Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project Phase-II. Owing to cost escalation, direct link earlier planned from Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT) City to airport was shelved. Phase-II involves development of metro rail connecting Gandhinagar to Motera in the state of Gujarat. It is being implemented in two corridors. Corridor 1 would connect Narendra Modi stadium (Motera) to Mahatma Mandir and Corridor 2 would connect Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) to Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT) City.
