Pora river pollution abatement project in Nagpur gets approved

The Nagpur Municipal Corporation approved the Pora river pollution abatement project in Nagpur, Maharashtra on March 12, 2024. The scope of work includes the laying of a 253 km long sewer line in Laxmi Nagar, Hanuman Nagar, Dhantoli zones and some parts of Nehru Nagar and a 164 km long line in the Hudkeshwar-Narsala area. The work is likely to be completed in two years at an estimated cost of Rs 8.74 billion under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation 2.0.
