The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has signed a loan agreement amounting to approximately Rs 28.09 billion (JPY 49.85 billion) for the construction of the second phase of the Chennai Peripheral Ring Road Project. The project includes the construction of a 26.3 km peripheral ring road and introduction of an intelligent transportation system.
