CleanMax has signed a 25-year long-term (PPA) with Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) to generate and supply renewable energy from a 45.9 MW solar-wind captive power project under a special purpose vehicle (SPV), Clean Max BIAL Renewable Energy Private Limited. The project is set in the CleanMax-owned and operated solar-wind farm at Jagaluru, Karnataka, and would include 36 MW of solar power and 9.9 MW of wind power plants. Approximately 90 million units (MUs) of energy requirement is planned to be sourced from the plant annually. The project aims to provide 58.3 MUs of solar power and 31 MUs of wind power annually, using the existing grid infrastructure. The agreement will assist the airport in meeting the renewable energy requirements for expansion and cost savings, as well as strengthening its sustainability and growth commitment.
