Spectrum auction for eight bands to start on May 20, 2024

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has initiated the spectrum auction to augment the existing telecom services and maintain continuity of services. DoT has issued a notice inviting applications to this effect. All available spectrum in the 800 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz, 2300 MHz, 2500 MHz, 3300 MHz and 26 GHz bands is part of the auction. A mock auction will be conducted on May 13 and 14, 2024, following which the actual sale will start on May 20, 2024.
