The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has signed a loan agreement of approximately Rs 28.09 billion (JPY 49.85 billion) for the construction of the second phase of the Chennai peripheral ring road project. The project involves the construction of a 26.3 km peripheral Ring Road and introduction of an intelligent transportation system.
