The central government has inaugurated the Halida-Barauni section, spanning about 512 km of the Paradip-Haldia-Barauni crude oil pipeline. It entailed an investment of Rs 27.9 billion. In addition, it inaugurated the Kharagpur LPG bottling plant. Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) developed a new LPG bottling plant with a bottling capacity of 120 thousand tonnes per annum in West Medinipur district of West Bengal, entailing an investment of over Rs 2 billion. It also inaugurated the Paradip-Hyderabad product pipeline, with a capacity of 4.5 million tonnes per annum (mtpa), which entailed an investment of Rs 33.28 billion.
