Over 50 per cent of Rs 650 billion NCR highway projects completed

At the inauguration of the 19 km Gurgaon section of the Dwarka Expressway, it was highlighted that highway projects in the National Capital Region (NCR) are progressing at a significant pace, with projects worth Rs 650 billion underway. Of this amount, projects worth Rs 350 billion have already been completed, representing over 50 per cent of the total.
The remaining projects are slated for completion by the end of 2024. Notable completed projects include the Delhi-Meerut and Eastern Peripheral expressways, the Sohna highway, and a segment of the Urban Extension Road-II. Ongoing projects include the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway and the DND Flyway-Sohna link. Additionally, environmental conservation efforts are prioritised, as evidenced by the transplantation of nearly 12,000 trees during the construction of the Dwarka Expressway.
