Centre laid foundation stone for 554 railway stations under the Amrit Bharat Scheme on February 26, 2024 to be developed with an investment of Rs 190 billion.
These include 74 stations in Uttar Pradesh, 56 stations in Maharashtra, 46 stations each in Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat, 45 stations in West Bengal, 34 stations in Tamil Nadu, 33 stations each in Bihar and Madhya Pradesh, 31 stations in Karnataka, 27 stations in Jharkhand, 21 stations each in Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Odisha, 15 stations each in Telangana and Haryana, 11 stations in Assam, 10 stations in Kerala, 3 stations each in Punjab and Uttarakhand, 2 stations in Goa and 1 station each in Delhi, Jammu, Tripura, Sikkim, Mizoram, Puducherry and Himachal Pradesh.
