The Department of Industries, Investment Promotion and Commerce, Government of Tamil Nadu (GoTN) issued a preliminary notification for the land acquisition for the Chennai (Parandur) Greenfield Airport Project on February 24, 2024. The project involves the development of a new greenfield airport having two runways, terminal buildings, taxiways, apron, and a cargo terminal at Parandur in Tamil Nadu at an estimated cost of Rs 200 billion.
