The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed the official development assistance (ODA) loan agreement with the central government to provide funds for three road projects in three states of India on February 20, 2024. Funds have been sanctioned for section V and introduction of intelligent transport systems (ITS) for sections II to V of Chennai Peripheral Ring Road Project (Rs 28.09 billion), Dhubri-Phulbari Two/Four-Lane Bridge Project (Brahmaputra River) (NH-127B) (Rs 19 billion), Phulbari – Goeragre Road Project (NH-127B) (Rs 8,561 million).
