Hitachi Energy India Limited, in agreement with BNC Power Projects Limited, will supply 14 high-rating transformers to the Indian Railways (IR) which includes 12 units of 100 MVA 132/2x55kV Scott connected transformers and 2 units of 100 MVA 220/2x55kV Scott connected transformers. The first unit of 132kV Scott transformer was launched on February 29, 2024. The product certification was obtained from the Rating & Design Standard Organization (RDSO)- IR’s technical body, after the successful completion of all mandatory tests.
